Welcome to How To Play Golf and Have Fun – Each and Every Time You Play!
Golf Swing Tips – There is Always Hope
Howdy! Are you an “Everyday Golfer,” too? Meaning that you love to play for fun and relaxation? Then you are like me – a regular or semi-regular golfer who would like to get better. The neat thing about golf is that there are always plenty of tips and advice that you can adopt to get better. Shoot, Golf Magazine alone is full of stuff every month, although most of it is by pros and for pros, or at least for the high-end golfer.
Maybe you have finally got to the point of information overload, and your mind is so full of advice that your natural athletic talent gets short-circuited (that’s my story, anyway). Maybe you watch the Golf Channel and take every new lesson right out to the driving range to see how it works for you.
There Really Are No Secrets to Success
I’ve got one not-so-secret ’secret’ for you if you are like me and most other golfers: you can groove any type of swing, and as long as you keep it simple, you can shave strokes all the way down to a single-digit handicap. I’m constantly looking for the next tip that will do that for me. The latest one is the No Backswing Golf Swing that I show you in the video below.
Every time you tally up 90 or more strokes, you can look back on the round and remember some outstanding shots. Yes, you may think that you could play on the Tour if you could just hit like that all the time. At least you can score better when you hit like that even a little more often.
What I am here to do is serve as a resource for imparting what I discover that makes me a better golfer, the idea being that some of what I find out will help you, too. I’ve been playing golf for more than 40 years, have bought dozens of videos and books, read a ton of reports, articles, and magazines, taken lessons from bunches of pros, and sought advice from dozens of fellow golfers. Geez – at least some of my ‘vast’ experience ought to be of benefit to you!
Beware of Time and Money Wasters
By the way, some of the money I spent was simply wasted. I won’t hesitate to tell you what I think of something when it is hogwash or worse. I have one pretty extensive swing program in mind that I will ‘expose’ later as the garbage that it turned out to be. The world of golf advice is certainly a place where desperate buyers (you and me?) throw good money after bad. My experience will surely help you avoid some pitfalls, too. For example, how about that training device that consisted of a grappling hook tied to a rope, with a clip on the other end for attaching to the bill of your hat? Supposed to help you keep your head down – so just imagine where that hook would go for the most effective punishment for raising your head! (If you don’t know by now, keeping your head down all the way through a swing does NOT make for a good swing! More on that later.)
Whether you want to break 100, 90, or 80 on a consistent basis, I’m sure something here at my blog will help you get there. I’ll offer the best recommendations, reviews, comments, evaluations, etc., for what I think works and what doesn’t. I’m still learning, and that is why golf is so much fun for me.
The Famous Everyday Golfer Video: The No Backswing Golf Swing
Now take a look at the video that I put together on the best golf swing tip that I have discovered lately. It is simple, it is effective, it is easy to implement, and it is FREE! Have some fun with it. And let me know what happens to your game once you figure out how to do it. Love to hear from you!
Meanwhile, enjoy!
Or…You Can Watch a Pro
You can watch a pro show how this golf works at this link Golf.com. This video is pretty slick, although you have to put up with a commercial first. I’m kind of biased for my video. No pros involved (they can make anything look good!) – just a regular golfer.
Have a Blast!
Is that too much to ask out of this sport? Nope. That’s the whole idea. So I’ll do whatever I can to make it that way for myself, as I always do, and to share my discoveries with you. Hey, maybe we’ll meet up on the course someday and have some fun together!
Keeping golf fun,
Dr. D, the Everyday Golfer
